Local Ben Bridges that Lost Rolex

Hello all:

Just trying to see how many Ben Bridges have lost Rolex. In socal so far South Coast Plaza, Woodland Hills, and Tyler Mall no longer sell Rolex. Someone mentioned Del Amo Mall will lose Rolex also.

Just seeing if I should cut my losses and start a new relationship with a Bucherer or Boutique location.

Thanks in advance

I like the folks at Bucherer. Always treated me fair and you're essentially buying directly from Rolex, which could eliminate future loss of AD status issues.

I hope Cerritos mall BB. Doesn’t lose RLX. They are awesome!

Another approach might be separating one's buy-side desire from the AD network. But it's not for everyone.

Out of necessity I've done that because my nearby AD was dropped, and then I saw them launch their own version of a Rolex CPO model using safe queens they had held back. At street pricing, they made an instant inventory margin over 75%.

Including 2 Daytona's I had been "on the list" for 5 years. Not sour grapes - my spend level had been modest - maybe $25K for jewelry and watch gifts bought at reasonable prices.

Decoupling has its risks - you just need to know your dealers. TRF ones have been great with me over the years.

South Coast Plaza... there's been a Rolex boutique in there for like 10 years, before it was managed by Bucherer/ Torneau it was Baron and Leeds. When was BB selling Rolex from there? Had to be more than 10y ago.

Woodland Hills... yup that's gone. is it gone yet? i heard it was done like 2 years ago.

Tyler Mall... they were very sure a couple years ago that they will be opening Rolex in the Victoria's Garden mall. Not sure how that's going.

Del Amo mall... wow that sucks, can't imagine giving it to Morgan's. Russell the owner literally told me to get a tennis bracelet and i could leave with a Rolex submariner the same day. I didn't even ask for one.

Was trying to see if this a pattern occurring nationwide. Also a 2nd local AD that I do a little business mentioned the time Ben Bridge has with Rolex is ticking due to Rolex acquiring Bucherer (obviously an attempt to divert my spending to them lol).

On a side note Ben Bridge lost Patek on Oahu.

Too lazy to hop in the car, but the two BBs in the Portland, Oregon area are still shown on Rolex.com store locator.

Sound advice, has worked very well for me these last few years. I won't shop at a non Bucherer (Rolex) owned AD anymore. Many (not all) ADs deserve to lose businesses for the games they have tried to play over the years*.

Regarding Ben Bridges: I assume unless they have a standalone boutique, their days are numbers. Plus many are in middling malls, so not really where Rolex is going as a brand. For woodland hills, Polacheck's is opening a boutique in Topanga Mall, which should be nice.

*disclaimer - yes, I know that some folks here have a great relationship with their AD, no bundling, they get what they want, etc. That's great.

In my past home of Houston Ben Bridge has three location that once all sold Rolex. First one in the Galleria mall lost it when another AD opened a Rolex only Boutique. Memorial City location was next, either because of consolidation or because another larger AD was opened just outside the mall. Third location in Willowbrook was the last to close, I suspect that mall had lost its luster and was no longer a viable Rolex area.
AFAIK, the one in the Domain in Austin is still a dealer.

Wow - wonder if Cerritos Ben Bridge lost it too? Met the manager there. Seemed like a good guy and we talked a while but he never responded to my emails

Oahu Ben Bridge is a terrible place. Sales guy there tried selling me a severely scratched OP and gave me shit for turning it down. Definitely tried pulling a fast on me. This was months ago... thinking about calling the manager and complaining now that I'm back lol.

I spend about 20% of the year in Oahu. This week I was walking around Waikiki and saw there was a new Grand Seiko boutique. I was near the point of making a purchase but once I heard it was run by Ben Bridge I walked out.
