If I'm doing business with someone for the first time I want their phone number, address, and usually I get where they work. And who doesn't receive money with Paypal?
Regerdless I take the info I get and superstalk them on Google. You can get some good info free from this website https://thatsthem.com/ Sometimes we get 6 fraud attempts a day at my company. Scammers whip up a passport or driver's license quick. |

So I found “Jdoc7” over on WUS forum earlier and messaged him trying to get a response in regards to the purchase I made and below is the response I received which is eerily similar to the person called out in this thread. I’m fairly certain it is the same individual.

So do I my friend, I am kicking myself for not researching more. I have been doing this online for over 10 years buying, selling and trading and this is the first time I was careless enough to get scammed. It will certainly be the last time.
I did file a claim with the bank and I feel confident they will reimburse the full amount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well it looks like I've been scammed too. heck of a first post on this forum. :(
I have been a member of watchuseek for years, and found that this user (jdoc7) had a 2254.50 posted that was literally my grail piece. (Its still in the classifieds, I can't post the link because I need at least 10 posts first) I contacted the member as per his ad here, and looked at his transaction history which was positive. We exchanged some emails, and agreed to the purchase. Fortunately for me, I used Zelle, which forced me to break the transaction into multiple parts. I logged in this morning to send the remaining sum, and it failed. I came here to check in, and found him banned. Not sure what to do now. I guess I'll contact my bank. But this is unfortunate and a huge setback. It's a purchase I shouldn't have made in the first place, but had an emotional attachment towards. I hope that this can be sorted out. |

I've reported it to my bank, but it sounds like there is almost no chance that I'll get it reversed. Morale of the story, DON'T USE ZELLE, or any other kind of payment system without a robust dispute system. |
