IMHO...keep the Speedy and add the DJ for those special formal wear/dress up days.....

as people have said....Speedy is a strap monster.....I hardly have the stock 3861 bracelet on.....it's always equipped with rubber, sailcloth, leather....or the presidential bracelet from Forstner....

good luck with your choice....

Adding a 36 DJ will give size variety and a special occasion watch….. keep the speedy and Sub for daily wear variety.

Be a fantastic three watch combo.

Lately, I’ve been considering a Datejust 36 (fluted bezel, Jubilee, blue dial). Ideally, I’d keep all three, but that’s not an option right now. While I really like the Speedy, I can’t help but feel it’s not quite on the same level as a Rolex.

Would you keep the Speedy, or swap it for the Datejust? Any thoughts?
You have a great watch collection already, since you already like the Speedy and its bracelet, selling it would be a mistake, it is a high quality piece at is price point and you'll lose not less than 30% of its msrp.

Just save up and add a DJ of your liking, as others have said, 41 might be the better option but you need to try to decide for yourself.

I would normally think of adding before selling. If that's not an option now, hold tight.

I think both watches have a sporty/tool vibe, so I would swap for a datejust for something a bit dressier.

I would sell the Speedmaster for the DJ. 36mm, fluted on jubilee with blue dial is perfect and one of the best DJ combinations.

I've owned several Speedmaster models, and while the story behind them is cool, I've found them to be underwhelming on the wrist and eventually sell them off.

If the DJ call you and you aren't in love with the Speedmaster than go for it. It must be the case or why post this?

The modern DJ41 is a nearly perfect watch for many, I would go two tone with rose gold and chocolate dial, fluted/jubilee.
