AD deletes honest review.

I have not been treated fairly at my local Ad by the owner and staff. I have spent $150k at this location. I was told that after 60 days I should receive my grail watch, A year later and they have not delivered. I spoke with the owner personally about this and other issues I have had at his location. He said wanted to make it right and if he did make it right would I delete the review. I said I would. When I went to edit the review, they had it deleted on google. This is beyond shady. I no longer will do business with them no matter the cost.

Aucoin Hart Jewlers in Metairie

My full review here. I posted screen shots and ever before thy DELETED them.

They care more about removing negative reviews than the customer experience. I write this review with 100 percent honesty. I thought I was a valued customer since 2021. Come to find out I wasn’t even treated as a client with any value let alone one who has spent $150k. My first purchase was nearly $40k. So, I’m not writing this review as someone who has not made any purchases at Aucoin- Hart Jewlers. I'm tired of all the lies, broken promises, and more importantly the lack of respect from upper management towards me. I have been a great client over the past 4 years, but I cannot say the same for them.

Over the course of my spending, I have only received one watch I have actually asked for and of course it was a $40,000 gold watch. Every time I requested a watch, I was sold another one that was not on my list. I was told it was difficult to get a SS gmt or submariner or any sports watch and that my SA would definitely fight for me to get one after another 2-tone date just purchase.

Fast forward, it’s been almost 2 years since I have bought a watch from them. I do get calls, but they are for lady's diamond day dates or men’s diamond day dates. I brought it up to my SA last march that I feel like after what I have spent, I deserve at least one SS watch. Almost every watch they have sold me up to this point has been a 2 tone. While I did like them, I was always led to believe that purchasing them would help my case to get a SS watch. I put my money where my mouth was, and I was played like a fool.

In March of 2024 and My SA finally has good news for me. He talked to the owner, and I was able to pick 2 watches that I wanted, and he would order them for me. I was beyond excited for the opportunity. One of the watches I picked was an oyster flex Daytona and the other was an OP36 for my wife.

Fast forward 9 months ahead and I stop by the store. Of course, my watches were still not available even though I was told it would be 60 days for them to arrive. On my visit I was offered a watch. A watch ironically, I already own that I bought from them. A two-tone sky dweller. This is at least the 3rd time I was offered a watch I have already purchased from them.

I have come to realize every watch I was offered would have been offered to anyone who just walked in. On my last visit at the store, they had an OF Daytona and an OP 36 on display. I asked if I could purchase one of these, I know they were on display, but I was willing to wait to get one when they could release it. My SA asked the owner who was there in store. He reminded the owner that I was told 10 months ago they would order me one that at the time I was told should take about 2 months to receive. The owner said no that I could not buy either of them.

I should have known after they offered me the same watch, I have previously purchased from them 3 times they don’t care about me as a client. At this point I’m just over it. I am tired of calling/ texting my SA every few months only to be told lies or to be offered more stuff that is not on my list. Why am I having to beg to spend another $50,000. I told my SA I quit them. Take me off the list. He told me he was sorry, and the owner would call me. Of course, he never did. Had he even taken 2 mins to call me I WOULD NOT HAVE WRITTEN THIS REVIEW. He showed me that I was right, I was never valued as a client. I was not even worth a call.

My SA said he was retiring at the end of the month. They were only concerned that I would leave a bad review. I told them I would not leave a bad review but an honest review. I won’t ever spend another penny there. I was not worth the time for the owner to come talk to me in person or a phone call. I was treated as nothing more than an ATM for them. Lesson learned.

If you value honesty, integrity, customer service then this is not the place for you. I was promised my dream watch in 60 days. I gave them over 10 months to show me anything and they showed me nothing. They took the joy out of my hobby. I don’t know where I go from here, but if this honest review can save anyone from the games and heartache, I have endured I’m glad I wrote it.

I’m also an Aucoin Hart customer. While I’ve been waiting a long time for my watch, I know that the market is tight and it takes a long time to get the exact watch you want. I have never been offered a watch that I didn’t ask for.

Please remember that nobody forced you to buy anything.

Sadly, my business has also been the victim of negative online reviews. Most people realize that the negative review is more of a reflection of the person who wrote it than the business it’s about.

It takes quite a bit to completely delete a Google review. A business can't just go in and hit delete and it's gone. Google sometimes filters reviews for whatever reason. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, especially considering they have a couple 1 star reviews that show up for me.

Sorry for your situation. I don't really trust Google reviews as I've seen negative reviews mysteriously get deleted. We have an AD in our city with over 300 5 star reviews and maybe 3 or 4 under 5 stars which I find hard to believe for any business. There are people that can be hired to provide positive reviews too. Stores can hire reputation control services to get negative reviews deleted, plus the store can raise a stink with Google. At the same time I don't believe in using negative reviews as leverage to get what you want. However good luck in your search. Cheers

“Every time I requested a watch, I was sold another one that was not on my list.”
This is incorrect. You chose to buy them.
“I put my money where my mouth was, and I was played like a fool.”
This is correct.

Your story is one of a very long list of other people's stories. I had an ad offer to sell me a watch that he knew I wanted if I first bought a watch that he knew I didn't want well that was that I left him in the dust and figured if I was going to spend that kind of money on something I don't want I can go to the gray market and spend much much less to get the watch that I do want even though it's more than retail. I have since been fortunate to make friends at an ad both the owner and members of his family and staff that work there. The manager has a list of watches that I'm interested in but I still get calls about watches that I don't have on my list that they think I might be interested in because I'm a Rolex collector and sometimes they're right but they never hold it over me to say that if I don't buy this watch I'm not going to get that watch they're just offering me a chance at buying a watch I never thought I had a chance of buying. For instance just a month or two ago I was offered to watch that I think ran around $45,000 roughly I declined no problem then as I was browsing on chrono24 I saw that same watch somebody was selling unworn wanting $148,000 for it. Did that make me regret not purchasing no, but it did make me think that if I had purchased that watch how much it would have been valued. You see my ad knows I'm a collector and I'm one of the people that they have coming to their store that are collectors they're happy to have me and help me in my purchasing of Rolex watches for my collection. There are 'AD'S out there that don't play games and I'm very fortunate to have found one that's honest and have made a very good friend with.

No offense OP, but you spent $150k (which is an incredible sum for jewelry) before taking delivery of what you really wanted, minus the $40k gold watch. That’s on you. This is the risk that everyone who chooses to play these AD games takes. I’m very critical of the entire buying process because of situations like your’s. Others can heed the words of others as to how they can “best build a relationship” with their dealer, and how often they should “check-in,” but it’s all ridiculous. Only two inevitable winners here, Rolex and ADs with the occasional end user being thrown a bone. Best to not participate in these antics unless you’re ready for the idiocy it entails. There’s too many great watches out there to deal with this nonsense.

Op, I would repost the review and maybe edit it, similar but different. Post it, post it some more. I didn’t know that a merchant can remove a bad review on google, that kinda makes it pointless to post a review on google.

I feel for you with this type of AD there are many like this out there!

Also I get it and I agree, I would never buy anything from them again even they offered me anything from the catalogue and a discount. This is why the grey market will always do well.

I feel bad for you OP but man why didn’t you insist on a watch or bundle it with a jewelry purchase?

I’m really surprised by the gullibility of someone who has that kind of cash to burn.

So you are saying the review this person wrote is more about him than the business? Maybe we read different things. He was clearly buying things as a way to build his status for watches he really wanted. To be fair after a few purchases I would have told them to kick rocks. But if they promised him a watch after 30-60 days and didn’t deliver in a year then he has every right to leave the review he left. I personally am grateful I don’t have an AD like this. The pay to play will get them stripped of Rolex. He reposted the review. I read all the screen shots. No way Is he to blame. This is solely on this AD. The spending is solely on him. I would never do business with them ever.

Maybe look at the review and the screen shots in the pics. You can clearly see he was always offered watches he never asked for and they offered him the same watch multiple times they already sold him. I’m glad you had a better experience but the OP here seems to have been treated like crap. Good for him for being brave enough to post it for all of us to see.

Honesty you sound more like an employee than a customer.

You got treated like a junkie. The more bad stuff they offered, the more bad stuff you bought. The more bad stuff you bought, the more bad stuff they offered. No getting off that train until rehab. Sorry you got treated this way, but from their vantage point you are (were) a golden goose. It's a cautionary tale for others, for sure. Maybe just go grey, get what you want, and get it now. With friends like them, you don't need any enemies. Just be glad you weren't waiting for a kidney...

OP, so sorry you were treated badly by Aucoin Hart Jewelers. Their tactics are against Rolex’s policy. They can lose their AD status, by treating customers the way they treated you. Thankfully, not all ADs treat good customers so shabbily. Find another AD, or call one of our trusted Sellers for your grail watch. They will overnight it to you. Good luck!

Op sorry you had such a bad experience. It’s a bummer to hear about terrible ADs like this one.

Absolutely insane experience. ADs focus on treating whales first in almost every instance seemingly. I would think a spend history like this in that short of a time period would qualify for you to get whatever stainless piece you want, especially with the promises made. I wonder whom they're selling those watches to if not a good customer like you.

If I were you, I'd email RSC USA and tell them about this situation. They will forward it along to the area representative, who really needs to be made aware of their deceptive practices that tarnish the Rolex brand. I was encouraged to do this by a manager at the Rolex service center when I was having a conversation a few months ago.
