The Bits & Pieces...

Some people care nothing at all about the "Bits & Pieces" that originally came with their Rolex...And then there are others who can't live without them...

I happen to fall somewhere in the middle...I think it's great to have all the goodies, but if not that's okay too...

For those who care, here are all the original "Bits & Pieces" that came with my "K" series 16600 Sea Dweller...

The good ole days!! I wish I kept one of those anchors for nostalgia, I recall sellers on ebay even made keychains out of them for a nominal fee...

Side note, I thought the actual "papers" were cool and very old school. My wife's Z serial DJ was one of the last to have actual papers but with a modern watch with engraved rehaut.

Nice! I keep everything for all my watches, since I’m a serial flipper, of my non Rolex watches. I have them all stored in a spare room. I even bought a package of tiny baggies for the extra links and pins that were removed. It looks more professional, when I resell a watch. My Rolex boxes are kept in the original tote bags from the AD. Even they have the tiny baggies with links and screws.

It’s great all the trinkets that have come along through the years, I love the anchor too used to get …

I pretty much have all the paraphernalia that came with my watches. I have so many Seikos that came in identical boxes that I’ve labeled them.

I love seeing all of the bits and goodies that originally came with the watch. Very nice that you saved everything.....Including the original caseback cover stickers!

Thanks for sharing as this was really cool to see.

Me, too, If they don’t have the model sticker attached to the box.

I try to keep all the trinkets too, even the plastic bezel protectors. Although nowadays the AD takes everything they can from you, even the box sleeves in some cases.

Cheers

The watch is what matters most, but as a completionist … I absolutely love seeing complete sets. Awesome.

What a beauty, about what year was that sold?
One of my first exposures to the Daytona was around ‘88-‘95 era. A motorcycle racing friend’s father had a yellow gold 5 digit on strap with the same dial as yours.

Love all the older sets. Rolex really needs to step up their game in terms of packaging.

Oooo, love those bits and pieces.

Ideally, I'd have liked them for my 2002 Daytona, but mine - naked - was $4000 dollars cheaper than the cheapest one with box'n'papers. Wallet had final say.

The bits and pieces are a must-have for me. The older boxes, manuals and papers are way nicer than the current items too.

I just want what comes with the watch and for older models it is cool to have all the stuff. For current modern watches, not so much. I keep up with everything but that is just for the resale value as I never go back into the boxes until it is time for a service/sell/trade.
