Loose Rotor 3135

Hi all. Just had my 116610 Sub serviced by a reputable southern California specialist a few days ago. It keeps time well and the reserve is on par.

I picked it up this morning and noticed it sounded different. I can hear what I assume is the rotor rubbing the case, it doesn't sound right compared to my 3235.

Do you think they might have forgotten to lock the spring clip in that connects with the rotor post back in? This is the most obvious thing I can think of.

I pulled the crown and stopped the movement and I'll have it opened back up in a few days but wanted to get your thoughts. I understand we're all human and sounds like a key step may have been forgotten.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you'd be better off to simply go back to them rather than seeking speculation from the forum.
They will be best placed to help you out with your watch as it needs hands and eyes on it

Please let us know how it works out for you?

The rotor isn't contacting the case unless it is off it's bearing (which I doubt). It could well be coming into contact with the bridges if the rotor bearing is worn - a reputable specialist would have noticed that straight away.

Take it back and ask for their input on the "issue" - if there is indeed one

The rotor can't hit the case unless something is definitely amiss. Hitting something would be a clunking sound, or a scrape, scrape. but any decent watchmaker can sort it out.

Thanks folks. I will take it in. I appreciate the insight. I have to know how things work or I can't sleep at night!
