Crazy inventory in Miami

Wanted a new AP for the collection so I went to MIA to meet with my AP nomad and check out some grey dealers since they always have insane inventory down there. The nomad meeting was great, and I was offered a few pieces but nothing I truly wanted at this time. We have a plan moving forward, and this year looks good for receiving one that has been on my list for a while now.

After breakfast with my nomad, I hit the Bal Harbor boutique at his request to check out the new Code with tuscan dial and baguettes, which was nice, but not my style. Also checked out the ceramic beast and the new steel QP. I really liked the new QP. Service at this boutique is subpar IMO overall. I did not feel welcomed or wanted, even though the meeting was setup by the nomad.

Wrist Aficianado. Very small store. Mostly RM and Patek in stock. Nice people, high prices. FWIW, I have bought from them before but not from the MIA location.

Koosh Jewelers. Nice employees, facility under construction, but great inventory and fair prices.

Avi and Co in Brickell. Smaller inventory but amazing staff. Very welcoming and chatty in a good way. I almost decided on the 26347ti tourb while there. The sandblasted Ti finish scares me though as I wear my watches a lot and durability is a concern with that finish.

G&G. Alec was great. I was there on an off day, and inventory was lower than usual but he was great to deal with and gave me a crash course on RM sizes and functionality. They always have an insane inventory of limited and hard to get pieces.

Timepiece Trading. Sean is a great guy. We chatted for a few hours and he let me touch and talk about every piece they had available. I felt like a long-time friend, not a first-time customer. Their inventory is unbelievable. You'll see stuff here you likely won't see anywhere else in the world as far as limited editions in multiple variations of metals, dials, etc...

I did make a purchase that will be here any day now. I was able to try on and touch somewhere in the area of $6-7M in watches during my visit to the above locations, which definitely helped me to decide what I wanted to spend my money on and what I didn't. I found that a lot of the dials specifically do not photograph well at all. I wish AP would stop with the renders on the website and go to actual pics for a better reference of real life vision.

In order of favorites seen:
-15416CE
-Ceramic perpetual openwork
-26407 tourb openwork
-RG skeleton with diamond bezel
-WG chrono with sapphire bezel
-Titanium tourb teal dial

On to the pics....

Bal Harbor is terrible in the hospitality department. I went in a couple times to chat and try and build a relationship. Brought in some of my grey market AP pieces to be sized and spark a conversation. Terrible attitude and 0 interest in building a relationship or being friendly.

Ofcourse others will say the opposite- but that was just my experience a few times. It got to the point where I was 0.01 sec away from ever buying an AP again out of spite lmao.

It is of course, very nice, but I greatly prefer the contrast of the previous movement. It is very polarizing, you either love it or don't

Was this at G&G I went there a few months ago to look specifically at this piece and the DIAL just is MEH compared to the Sapphires that just explode off the bezel!!!! this needs the Japan edition Dial those baby blue subdials and the blue color just cannot hang with that Bezel! I have the Japan edition Chrono and honestly I would swap Bezels lol
I feel that its a 190k Piece, I saw one for sale recently for 230k and G&G was asking 250k but Its still in the AP catalogue so I'm gonna try to get an allocation at the end of the year

WOW What a Day you had today amazing pieces and thats how you should go find your next allocation just like this!!! Excited to see your pick up!

G&G had one as well as Timepiece Trading. I agree on the dial. I have the same japan chrono you do.

The trip was a great success for sure. New piece will be here tomorrow

i've been subbed to Timepiece Trading on youtube for a while and it really is crazy to see the kind of inventory they're constantly stocking, so much super high end hype stuff that you just won't see in many other places. actually knew you were there just from the pics before i even read your post lol

they seem like good people who just really love watches from their videos so it's also cool to see you had the same feeling in person

I agree, was there a couple of weeks ago and they seemed like I was bothering them. What a bunch of douches...I was oh so close to remind them that they sell watches, do your job. Idiots.

Incredible show of AP, WOW! You saw and touched pieces that are never available. Sounds like a success! Thanks for all these pics. I should have gone to Timepiece Trading, I forgot about those guys. I spent half a day in the Seybold building instead.

Wow thanks for sharing!! How was the 15412 in the metal? Grail of grails there for me personally. Such great shots of amazing pieces!

Excited to hear what you picked up as well!

15412 was amazing. The frosted and rainbow isn't my style but I can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship and design.
