State of the Watch Collection - 1 Slot Left

Here is the state of my current collection with one obvious slot missing. But the question is, what is missing? To me it is something like a Daytona or a dressy option like a Presidential. Other ideas?

Also, my two most worn watches at this point are probably my Garmin watch for running/working out and the Explorer II for almost anything else. I seem to gravitate to the Explorer II as it blends well with just about anything. And I love the white dial. It doesn't seem to get much love as a highly desired Rolex model, but out of all of these, it may the the one that would be hardest for me to part with.

I’d definitely say something in all yellow or rose gold like a Day-Date, Royal Oak, 222, Overseas, or Daytona would be at the top of my list with that collection. Nice collection BTW.

Datejust IMO.

Day Date would be awesome as they are beautiful and awesome watches, but with nothing else in that sort of dressy sporty sort of watch in the collection I believe that really the Datejust gives you a lot of options to mix and match variants for the perfect fit to the collection.

Needs to be a Patek, JLC, or Vaceron. I think the VC works great at a reasonable price.

You're asking TRF so you'll get mostly Rolex-oriented recommendations. But I agree with the post above, a classic VC or JLC would round out your collection nicely. I reckon you don't wear dress watches much, though, given what else you have in the box.

A Datejust or Oyster Perpetual if going Rolex.
If going for something different JLC, Grand Seiko?
If cost is no object PP, AP?
Something different from the predominant sport watches.

If your only need for another watch is to fill an empty slot in a box, then you really don’t need another watch.

What happens next when you have a full box, but have an empty slot when you’re wearing one, will you need another so they box is constantly full?

Let's be honest, you don't need another watch. This is a very well-rounded collection.

Nice collection as is! I'd just wait until something comes along that catches your eye rather than chasing something that you're not sure of.

A Panerai will keep it interesting and be the ultimate Alpha/Hero luxury strap watch.

Nice collection. A Date Just on Jubilee with the fluted bezel and baton markers. An icon and a watch that can be dressed up or down. White/Silver/Blue/Black dial would be the one.

I tend to think about watches as filling a particular niche in my wearing habits...I've found the hard way it can be expensive-and frustrating, time consuming, and pretty much everything the antithesis of joy-using other criteria.

So...I would have a look around and see if there was something you think you would wear more or at least as much as the EXP2 and then...go from there. Good luck,

IMO, u have enough Rolex...I would add in a Panerai or IWC (the newer pilots are really cool..my Rolex AD just became IWC AD and are carrying most of the newer models and to be honest, far better dial designs than Rolex). Both of these are strap monsters on top.

Thanks all for the suggestions so far! Agree with many of the posts that I have enough sport style watches so like the idea of a datejust/daydate if sticking with Rolex, or venturing out to a Vacheron, JLC, IWC, or Grand Seiko. Would love a Patek but the models I really like are out of the budget for what I'd be looking for. Aside from the Rolex models, also would consider a leather band option for VC, JLC, IWC, or GS. Decisions, decisions...

Another vote for JLC. A Reverso or Master Control would be a meaningful addition.
