A friend has offered to sell me his Pam 287. I always kind of liked the Panerai's but am more of a Rolex guy. I wouldn't mind a larger timepiece and the price seems OK, but I lack knowledge. It is a "J". When was this made and what is a reasonable price. He asked me to make an offer. The band is a bit worn and I would want to replace it. Otherwise, the watch is in good condition. I see these new for in the $6500 range. Not sure if he has the complete boxes and papers or not.
