My very first Rolex (Daytona SS 116520)

Hi guys, this is my first post in TRF. After years of eyeing the Daytona with those numerous wishful thinkings and countless visit to AD just to put it on my wrist and take pictures of it, I finally had the opportunity to get one for myself. Picked it up just one day after 2016 Basel Ceramic Daytona was announced. I knew that the 116520 will be replaced by the new ceramic version and wouldn't want to miss the current version. I personally prefer the SS bezel than the ceramic as to me it looks more versatile (borderline sporty and elegant). I have found hardtime finding watches that sit well on my girly wrist (6'), most of current Rolexes is more on the larger size despite their theoritical size, which although emphasizes wrist presence, but becomes a bit too clunky for my size (e.g. bigger lugs on Explorer 1). But the Daytona is the one that is just nice for my wrist, neither too big nor too small (yes, there is Datejust and AirKing, but I find them too dressy and plain+small respectively). I will wear this on a daily basis, because I agree with some of the guys' principles here, watches are meant to be worn and we only live once :) Tried to check its accuracy, worn it the first time whole day today, played around with the chronograph and just checked, it's +2 seconds in exactly 24 hr (my 3 yrs old GS is +4 seconds). Anyhow, I hope this can be a good start to adding more Rolexes to the collection (Sub No Date next, a bit larger due to its enlarged lugs, but this I guess I can still get away with this). Some wrist shot and pair shots with my GS (please excuse the poor shots, taken form a 5s).

Here to share the Rolex love with you guys as I have just started appreciating all the values Rolex holds. May we all fortunate enough to enjoy what life gives to the fullest, each within our own standards and definition.

Cheers
