The jackal has had it's day. Freddie Forsyth RIP

I loved his books and read pretty much all of them . I once sat on the table next to him in Kensington hotel during a lunch and I really wanted to say hello but he was with someone so didn't want to disturb him

The Jackal is brilliant! I think it is a rare novel that has been made into two excellent films. That in itself elevates both the story and the author to immortality.
