The One That Got Away

Just a few short years ago I picked up one of these. I wasn't totally in love with it as I already had a nice Radiomir. I didn't fully appreciate the brand and the history. When the prices on these peaked I got greedy and sold it for a healthy profit.

Every time looked at a photo I resented the fact that I let it go and the more I looked into the brand the more I wanted it back. Recently I came across an unworn one and had to have it again. So here it is ... the 232:

It's pure Panerai DNA and one of the most overlooked SEs from the brand. I doubt they will ever again make one like the 21 or 232. Panerai has set their new direction and I'm keeping this one.

I totally agree and have been saying for the last 18 months that the 232 is the most under appreciated watch in the whole catalog. With people clamoring each week for a new "Base Fiddy" or a new Mare Nostrom...Panerai made a base Radiomir, made it a SE and people seem to be ignoring it?

Now is the time to get one..they will be like the PAM 127 is today.

It came out the same year as the 249 which overshadowed it a little but I agree it, along with the 249 are going 'Fiddy territory & Beyond'
