Why didn't the guy call the police? Isn't counterfeiting a federal crime?
And after all, he was selling the fake (or homage) Rolex, not wearing it. At least he had the good taste to want to be rid of the thing.

It seems strange to me that you would feel this way when you use the Rolex registered logo and Rolex name to sell hats and gym bags.

Is this a double standard or have I missed something Leo?

If I bought a fake Rolex hat from you with fake money would justice also be served?

Man, you don't give up, do you?

Are you really comparing a few custom made hats I make for members to seling fake Rolex watches?

If I were you I'd try to satisfy my wife instead of letting my disappointemnt out on others.

wonder how each action, selling the watch and using funny money

for the transaction,

would be charged criminally?

You are treading on dangerous ground Leo.

I don't understand the 'you don't give up' comment.

You are breaking the law whether you are selling them for profit or for charity or even if you are giving them away. Which letter in FAKE don't you understand.

One of your ads on another Forum offers 14 hats for sale at $25.00. That is nice work if you can fake it.

Your suggestion that I try to satisfy your wife is not something I would contemplate.

Leo and Eddie, guys....Chill out....

Fake hats...... satisfy your wife......

C'mon it's just a watch forum. No need to get personal. I can see Eddie's point, but forget it dude. It's not worth fighting over.

I'm home relaxing and drinking a Black Label on the rocks. I suggest you guys do the same.

I know you don't understand the "you don't give up comment" since you take every opportunity you can to publicly pick on me.

What I don't understand is why this matter is any of your business and such a big concern to you. You have repeatedly told me publicly how you feel so don't you think that I by now have got your message? If you were half the man you could have, a long time ago sent me a PM or an e-mail expressing your concern and I would probably have listened to you.

Of course my "wife comment" was a blow below the belt and I shouldn't have mentioned it publicly as that failure of yours is none of my concern but rather your problem. Twisting my words around to make it look like I meant MY wife is of course just wishful thinking from your side.

Surely there must be more important illegal activities going on in your hometown that you can devote your hatred to. For instance, jaywalking and spitting on the street which can keep you busy for a long time.

I'm going to take the high road in this matter and let you have the last word in this matter and I deeply regret going in to dialogs with you.

Best,
Leo

Okay guys PEACE PLEASE!

I can see both sides. Using a logo that is trademarked is wrong. With that said, I purchased a Rolex hat, not from Leo, but never the less a hat that wasn't made by Rolex or their permission.

I purchased it because I wanted a hat with that logo and I couldn't buy it from Rolex. I bought my Tag hat from Tag, because they sell them and they give them to customers.

The problem is, people like hats and clothing with logos and if they are not available directly from a licensed seller, what am I going to do? In my case, I bought the fake one. I wanted that particular item and knowing it was a "fake" item, purchased it willingly and knowingly.

I do not think Leo is trying to pass off Rolex hats as licensed merchandise.

Fakes are the highest form of compliment for a product, people want that product. These products do infringe on the rights of the trade mark holder and do cost them money.....but if Rolex was worried about it, in my view they would open a website and sell official merchandise like Chevy or Dodge.

So why can't you guys just agree to disagree and not pick with each other? Live and let live...life is too short to fight about hats!!!!!

That's the high road Leo!? Are you for real?

That was definitely NOT choosing to live on a higher level. You talk about the man's wife and then retort him again will pure unadulterated sarcasm. Really weak.

Perhaps you think that adding a "best" at the end of your post makes it all ok.

Badly done.
