Panerai 104 wobble?

There's a strange feeling coming from my 104 as of late. It kind of feels like the movement is "wobbling" inside the watch? Is this normal?

Totally. The 104s movement (as well as others) is based on the V7750. A rugged proven workhorse movement that has amazing accuracy.. It's famous for the "wobble".

That's normal. I have a pam 90 with the same movement as the 104. It does that as well.

Rotor wobble...

...quite a few autos do it but the 7750 is known for it...
Enjoy!

Just in case the "wobble" that you are noticing is not the standard rotor wobble, you can investigate the possibility that one of the screws that secures the movement inside the case is not loose. I once complained to my watchmaker the same way, and of course he told me it was normal. I asked him to open and verify, and it turned out that the movement was a tad loose in the case. He tightened the screw, and the unusual wobble disappeared. So, if it doesn't feel right to you, investigate.

Cheers!
