305 vs 243 and the HK Boutique experience.

I am in HK and went to the Boutique. I was able to compare the 305 and the 243 side by side. I have to say that the 47mm case makes the 305 the winner as far as looks. It seems like it wears better as well! Of course, I only tried them on briefly. The 243 by itself looks great, but next to the 305, the dial just looked a bit too small compared to the bezel. The 305 dial also is cleaner and in my humble opinion, just looks better! If I hadn't just buy the 359, I would totally jump on the 305. I really really liked the 305!

I also got to see and try on the 351. I must say the gold hands and the brown dial is pretty sweet. I still am glad that I got the 359 instead of the 351 even though these two watches are pretty even in my book.

Benny and the nice lady (didn't get her name) were very helpful at the TST boutique. Strap prices are better than the States, so I picked up a gold JV and the vintage calf dark brown. Unfortunately, all the nice special editions were all spoken for so no luck there!

I also went over to the Boutique in Central and looked around. Having already tried on the 351, 243, and 305 at the other boutique I just browsed and chatted about watches.

Overall a great experience walking around in HK today. Did stop by one Rolex store to compare the 305 to the DeepSea and to me, the 305 is more for me! It just wears better! I also liked the much cleaner dial of the Panerai.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for sharing. the 305 is quickly becoming one of my favorite PAM's. Really like the DSSD too, glad to hear you prefer the 305 to the DSSD.

I love the staff at both boutique locations >>>>

They are very welcoming and ready to show you anything they have.

Sounds like you had a great experience

Well, 47mm versus the 1950 case, flip a coin, there's no right or wrong choice, it's very personal!!!

Sounds like you should go buy a 305.

I think all the DSSD and the 305 are both really amazing watches. Like Nad said, all comes down to personal preference!

Yeah, both the 243 and the 305 are winners for sure. I think my mind is made up which one I like. I am SO close to pulling the trigger! I have until Friday to decide if I will be leaving HK with a new 305!!!

If I haven't been buying too many watches this year, I would have took it on the spot. I just need to prioritize things since I just bought a house. To remodel the kitchen or get a 305. haha!

Hey there... I was there today as well looking for some straps. Couldn't find what I wanted but they had a plastic box full of straps. More than the boutiques I think.

305 is a very cool piece and gets even better once you slip it on!

Hi Rayt, I do have one from Mario Paci. They are good. But not exactly what I want I'm afraid.
