Do u guys ever take your watch off in the middle of the day and wipe ur wrist cuz its so sweaty? Whenever i take off my watch in the middle of the day to wipe my wrist theres always a bunch of gunk on my watch i gotta clean. Anybody here have any advice on how to avoid getting your watch dirty... not talking about regular cleaning... but preventing cleaning :)

yes but most of the time when I'm driving I just put my hand close to the a/c vent to dry it up

after i workout... i put my watch back on and im still like sweating.. lol

How about applying anti-perspirant deodorant to your arm and wrist?

It is just a summertime or hot climate issue. I find each summer (June, July, and August) I sweat and even though I wash the watch with a very gentile bar soap daily (Dove) I observe a black grime that transfers from the watch to my wrist. Just keep the watch clean and as the weather cools the issue goes away. I also find my wrists swell up with the heat. My SD and Sub are perfect with the divers extension feature I just pop the bracelet out (divers suit feature) and everything is fine.

Sorry about talking about cleaning anyway. But besides washing the watch regularly, a piece of good advice is to also wash your WRIST often, really "scraping" it with your nails to get all dead skin tissue and dried out sweat (yiaks!) of it.

That’s funny Eddie, no I just like to wear my bracelet tight so the slightest swelling is noticed.

A gentleman may wear a Rolex...

But I don't believe a gentleman sweats....

I must consult my book of proper etiquette......now did I put that with the Big Boobs magazines, or the Easy Riders..?

At least with a Rolex, it is easy to clean the bracelet.
With a leather strap, they get a bit funky after awhile.

Might be worth polishing the inside of the braclete a little with a jewlers cloth or a small amount of silvo (the less abrasive version of brasso) that way you remove any oxidisation and should stop the black marks! In the summer I tend to wash my SS braclete everyday and it does not seem to get to canky!!

Now what was the saying my old etiquette teacher taught me at school... men perspire ladies glow!

If you enjoy having skin cells, then I wouldn't be too worried about getting some grime on your watch band.

...just something to ponder.
