Who wears their watch while sleeping?
I know it sounds silly, but I see a large amount of casual references to fellow TRFers removing their watch before going to sleep, like it's perfectly normal, if not expected. Am I missing something? Is there a valid reason for the watch's sake to go sans timepiece through the night? As a bit of an insomniac, the lume of my watch is invaluable and I always wear a watch, 24 hrs a day, with the exception of showering/swimming if the strap is leather. Thoughts??

There are no rules here, only preferences, either personal ones or ones of the significant other.

Maybe the lume of your watch has been waking you up at night ?

If I were to choose one to sleep with the others would be very annoyed.

I wear it - love to see how much longer I can sleep before I have to get up, and I don't have to bother with the cell phone on the night stand. (4 a.m. is the best! Ahh... two more hours!)
This also part of the reason I love lume so much.... or maybe because I love lume so much the watch stays on...... |

I wear it to bed. I didn't used to, but it helps me not to be late for work. I don't have a regular clock in my bedroom. The more I can wear my Rollie, the better!

My wirst feels uncomfortable when I wear my Sub to bed...I thought about putting it on another appendage, but I was not that brave...

I wear my watch to sleep when I'm traveling. I prefer to have it on my wrist when staying in a hotel.

I used to but stopped after I took one off and tossed it on the floor while dreaming.

Can't wear my OQ Ref 17000 to bed, as it's loud (but beautiful!) clanking sound once/second keeps my wife awake, albeit our Golden Retriever, Ziva, who sleeps on our bed, kind of likes the OQ's soothing sound---makes her sleepy.

I would but I find it very difficult to tell the time while I'm sleeping.

nope, never. It goes in a green Rolex pouch, then in a valet box, at night. I have an alarm clock next to my bed. I don't need to wear a watch when I sleep.

I don't because:
My wrist swells due to being hypotensive and horizontal and makes the bracelet too tight when I wake up. AND, all my watches now are vintage and don't glow anyway. |
