I've never had to do this before...

...but I just set a watch "free".

When I wanted a 16610, I asked my AD to let me know when it came in (this was right before a price increase, beat it by a week I think). It did and I bought it.

I said, I just wanted to see the new ceramic 116710 when it came out. I didn't think I'd buy it, but I did.

Well, my AD just called me about a PAM 372.......I had to let it go.

Why didn't that lotto ticket come through!

edit: btw, the watch is going to the next person on the list, so no need to ask.

When it rains it pours I guess. I do have a nice consolation prize though. Hopefully I can get that 372 in the future.

Well, I sold the IIc eventually. I still have the 16610, but I passed on buying the 372.

If you "can" get one, get one.

The 372 will be plentiful (new and used) in a few months. You'll have another shot.

I do! Truth be told, if my AD had called me before the 390, I'd have a 372 on my wrist and be having the same conversation about the 390.

Fingers crossed that I got the "harder" one first!

IMHO, i think you "lucked out" getting the 390 call first....it really fits you well.

Mik, thats harsh. I bought 4 Rolex's in Sept. Then after a month, a dealer emailed me my grail watch. Pam 237 was located. So guess what I bought. close to as new as you can
get. Now I have a Rollie or 2 to sell. I feel your pain.

Personally I think you did well getting the 390. There should be lots of 372's out there going forward

Mik, down here we have quite a number of 372 not being sold. And a few pre-owned ones too... Is it still hard to get up there?

I may be wrong, but I think the 372 will be plentiful and discounted once the fever pitch subsides (which it seems is already starting).

Agree with both of you. Also, I'm calming down about the 372. It is a stunner, but on the edge of acceptance on my wrist (for me).
