Pam 312 or 359?
Hi Guys
I have been wanting to get a PAM a few years back and I might finally get one. Just want to get your opinion which one should I get Pam 312 or 359? First time I saw Pam 312 a few years back it took my breath away for its simplicity and 1950 casing. Last few days ago to went to an AD and saw Pam 359 and liked the patina like number dial but the strap is just a regular strap unlike the 312 is an alligator. Also how many % off you think is a good deal for a brand new PAM? Thanks! |

Out of those two, I prefer the 312
However, I would take a 320 over both of them

There was a long discussion on this maybe a month ago here...see if you can find the thread, it had all the info you're looking for. I love both watches, but own a 359 and love it. It's quite unique, the "dirty dial" is amazing and it has a cool history behind the styling. You can't go wrong with either...good luck.

Pretty sure the only differences between the 2 are cosmetic, so its strictly a matter of personal preference. Both are really nice if they fit your wrist properly.

Don't worry about the straps in making our choice... you'll change them soon enough.

Yeah the movement are the same only the cosmetics. Also the 359 dirt dial looks good in person. 372 is nice but higher price range. :)

351 wins that battle. I know it is not one of your choices, but the 312, 359 and the 351 are all so similar.

If you really have to go with auto PAM, and if this will be your only pam, go with 312,
It has the basic look of a panerai, and the dial will give you more choices of straps to play with. Remember that 359's case is all polished but 312 is brushed with polished bezel. |

Both are awesome looking. A hard choice. It does appear to me that the 359 holds its value a bit better in the used market, if that factors in. I do like the ecru and the numerals. But I had a 312 and I loved that. Like I said, a hard choice. Pick what you like more though and you can't go wrong.

If you like more brushed, go 312. The 359 has a brushed crown guard with a polished case. To be honest, I have worn a ton of straps on the 359 and everything from a tan/ yellow Micah Durevol to a dark brown GSD to a green canvas looks fantastic. The same goes for the 312 I would imagine.

312 for me. But don't let the straps be a deciding factor.
