PAM 112 vs. IWC Top Gun 3789.01

I have the opportunity of buying one of the above and I am torn between the two. Tried them both on and still couldn't decide. I love the PAM for its versatility and look but the Top Gun is also a beauty.

Between the two, which one would you choose? For a daily wearer.

Of the two I would take the IWC.
Just not a fan of no date watches for daily wear.
I also like a second hand which that model PAM does not have.

I do not know why but I do not care for most Panerai Chronographs
except the 212 but that is no date as well.

Thanks for the reply.

I too prefer non-chrono Panerais and would prefer a seconds hand. I don't mind this one though and I don't really need the date complication.

The is a much better watch than the Pam 112. Personally I prefer the ss or DFB Dopple chrono but out of those two definitely the top gun
Cheers

I'm not a fan of chronos, but I still say go with the IWC

Base models just don't do it for me; I need a bit more animation on the dial (plus a date is nice)

That said, the PAM is probably a safer buy if you are going to flip. Less initial outlay and easier resale imho

If they were the same price go Top Gun...

Pam 112 is def more versatile and probably looks better in most situations.

The TG is a cool watch but I bet you will grow tired of it quickly, it doesnt have much power on the wrist as there are so many copies of it out there. Also the TG is a pain in the ass to change straps and if that is one of your things then 112 all the way.

I think the comparison should be 292 vs the TopGun, ive own that TopGun and it didnt sing to me. So from my point of view, take that pam 112!

I think Top Gun is more pricey..
Based on looks alone, 112 for me. PAMs are always eye-catching.

I do fall for a Top Gun miramar the other day.. But the brand hasn't got into me that much yet. Maybe next time.
