Rose Gold or White Gold daytona

I am looking to purchase either a RG (black dial) or WG daytona (black dial wuth red hands). It will be worn on a daily basis.Which watch would you guys choose? Also, which one will hold a better resale value and is higher in demand?

thanks guys I appreciate your feedback

Not sure of the latter part of your question, but that rose gold has REALLY grown on me. Maybe a the white is a little more discreet, but I REALLY like that rose gold.

Did I mention how much I like that rose gold?

Congrats on the future purchase, either is a dream watch.

For me I like white gold. I am not a rose gold fan, but all that matters is what you like. Either way, great watch choice

Post the pics when you buy it!

I like both. I have the WG on my short list because it is more understated. Are you looking at a strap watch & new or used?

I go by what I like and that would be WG out of those two choices. Don't care at all for RG.

White Gold IMHO- understated sporty elegance!

WG looks better, I dont think you will get bored of it. The RG is too flashy, maybe if it had a chocolate leather strap to break the colours a bit.

I forgot to mention it can be used or new and on a bracelet.

I love em both. Some bloke in the pub last night had a YG daytona. Man it was stunning. So I'd lean towards RG, but also for me I'm not sure if it's an everyday watch.

Both are great. As far as resale and holding it's value, I'd say the white gold would be easier to sell as it resembles a stainless watch. I think the rose gold is a more specific buyer but Rolex's everose has platinum in it I was told by my local AD- so that may help it's value as well.

Rose gold is really gorgeous in person. Which I'm sure you have seen it in person, but I'm just trying to point out that pictures do not do the rose gold watch justice!

As far as which you should choose, I would personally take the white gold. I absolutely love white gold and the idea of having a precious metal watch, but it being pretty much under the radar. So all in all I would choose the white gold, plus, I really like the dial on the white gold model you are referring to, the red hands are gorgeous and really stand out. By the way, are you talking about the newer Daytona's with the ceramic bezel and alligator strap, or are you talking about the Daytona's with the oyster bracelet?

Also, in my opinion, I feel age can be a factor for whether a white gold watch or YG/RG watch would suit you better. Generally speaking, I feel that YG/RG appeal more to the older population of people buying Rolex's, let's say people above 30, and people below 30 I would imagine feel that SS or WG seem to better suit them. But of course, to each his own

As far as resale value, maybe one of the trusted sellers here would have a better idea than me but I feel they would generally be about the same. Maybe the white gold would have a better resale value over the rose gold because it's more in demand? But then again, the rose gold I feel is more rare of a Daytona, so maybe that would help drive its resale?

I'm biased of course...

I looked at both but the WG won because of it's understated nature and elegance. I never get bored of the dial. Best purchase I ever made in terms of watches.

As for value....no idea

Damn this is tricky! Knowing me I would go for YG... Out of RG or WG I think I would go White...

Heres a pic of a lovely RG Daytona I saw at a boutique
