Trade the GMT 2 Ceramic or DJ2 against HULK

I have been looking at the Hulk Submariner on the forum for quit a long time. Today I went to the AD and saw the Hulk for the first time. I fell in love with it.

The green color is very special to me for 3 reasons:
1. My parents are from Pakistan and Green is the national color.
2. I live in Ireland and Green is is also an Irish color :P
3. Green color is also special for Muslims due to the green dome in the Mosque of the Prophet in the city of Madinah

Now since I can not justify having three watches I will need to trade one from my watches. Either the DJ2 or the GMT2C. Which one should I trade in to get the HULK ?

Love em all but keeping the DJ11 would be the best combination for work and play! I don't see how having 2 "sports" watches is the best combination with all the above information? And without offending stating that having a GMT and hulk is the best combination without clarification mearly states personal opinion!!

Trade the DJ. I have a GMT and will have the green sub in a couple of days. It's quite a mesmerizing watch, isn't it?

I have had the DJ2 for a while now. I used to dream about it and specially acquired it because I dress up mostly. But once I got the GMT2C, the DJ2 does not get wrist time anymore. This is because the GMT2C is not just a sports watch but because of its PCL's also a great dress watch.

I never will. I probably will trade the DJ2 but will always keep the GMT2c.

That, sir, is a very hard decision. As far as your DJII goes, according to your signature, I believe you have the most beautiful iteration, the blue stick dial w/fluted bezel. For me, it is a definite keeper. The GMTIIc is a quintessential Rolex piece, always relevant forever. I'd be hard pressed to ever get rid of mine.
I think the hulk is a great piece and it is gorgeous in it's own right but I wouldn't dethrone either of your current watches to obtain it.
Since that is not an option to you, may I suggest buying the Hulk first, then waiting a month to decide which one goes at that point. You may think differently once the Hulk is sitting in your watch box next to the others.

GMT I would sell or you will end up with 2 SS sports watches. If you wash your hands as many times as I do during the day the PCL's on the GMT will tire quickly. Best of luck in your choice.

Not a great fan for the 'all green'.

I'd keep the ones you have.

Though I can see your premise about two sport watches, it assumes the GMT is a sport watch, an assumption I disagree with. The GMT is geared towards professional aviators and frequent travelers, who by and large are business travelers. I'd argue it is way more a professional watch than a sport watch. And with the PCLs on the current version it is even less of a sport watch in look or function than before.

I would also keep the GMT and trade the DJII if I needed to in order to swing the Hulk. You still have very different looking watches given the green dial/bezel of the Sub. The GMT works fine dressing up, particularly with the PCLs, for about any occasion that you would pull out the DJII. And gives you way more capabilities than the DJII.

But hey, it's your wrist.

The GMT would be a keeper of those 2 for me.
The LVC is a great way to go.

Thank you all for your honest views.

What should I expect to pay if I want to trade the DateJust 2?

Personally I would keep the DJ2 unless you use the GMT function regularly. If you don't use the GMT function, then it would be a very similar watch to sub that you are looking at getting.

i'll go against the herd and say keep the DJII....the LVc will fill the sports watch niche so well, you won't find yourself wearing the GMTIIc that often. on the other hand, DJII fluted blue stick dial is an incredible DJ, probably my favorite, and will provide more contrast for your collection.
