And if you buy from an AD vs. here on forum - and buy in China - you miss out on all the good AD perks later like invites to gala parties

But you are going to pay more there based on tax and duties here and still not have any better Rolex than a BNIB from a trusted TRF seller.

Of course you pay duty...

There is only an 800 dollar exemption on purchases abroad when you return to the US...

Prices of luxury goods are grossly overpriced in mainland China due to tax. Hop over to Hong Kong instead if you want to get watches. Great selection and if you bargain hard, can get good prices too.

Waste of time. Huge tax on Luxury items here, and a Customer Base with wads of bank notes in their pockets. Probably one of the less adequate parts of the world to buy a Luxury Watch, or Luxury anything (cars, handbags, you name it).

Only positive note is that, in big cities like Shanghai, flagship ADs will have in stock every single piece you may think of, especially the expensive ones.

Jump to HK over the weekend and give it a try there. PM if you need any help.

Bt china you mean hong kong as well? If so Hong kong is probably the cheapest place in china. In comparison to Canada it's cheaper. In comparison to US with tax (I think its cheaper)

there's a reason why the people in China fly overseas or to HK to buy luxury goods
