Tried on a Panerai w/alarm....

I've never considered even trying on a Panerai watch, as they all look too big on me. Until today I've never really understood the passion for these watches.

Well, I tried on this Radiomir 98 GMT Alarm watch at a store that has 40k chopard's, 50k Franck Muller's, etc. . Man, I like everything about this watch, except the the 7,400 price. It's 42mm, the GMT function is nice, the color of the numbers are very nice, and the alarm feature is so cool. Does anyone on TRF own one of these watches....?

Let's see, I could sell the Sub for 4k, then buy this for only another 3k....hmmm, I need to think about it...

That's got an exceptional JLC based movement.

Isn't this one the Girard Perregaux based caliber?

The GMT with the JLC being the 184?

Could be wrong, it's late here...

I have liked the 98 for some time, just never pulled the trigger as there was always something else I like better.
Have you tried other Penerai? I truly believe there is a Panerai for almost every taste.

The was the only Panerai I've put on my wrist. The price point is a little out of my financial planning.

I've looked at many models online, and I've heard that there is a 40mm watch out there for me. I will stay focused on Rolex and Omega for now, but this one was a great looking, near perfect watch for me...

A recent panerai/Radiomir thread got me thinking about the Pam98 again..., Main, it's been a year since I tried this on, and I still want to own one... The alarm, the GMT, leather strap and most importantly, the way it fits on my small wrist...

Any owners of this watch out there..?
