My first Radomir - Suggestions?
I really love this TRF and have learned a great deal from the enthusiasts that frequent the forum.
I am a new fan of Panerai watches and have a Luminor Marina. I have been considering a Radomir or Radomir 1940. I would like to get one with an in-house movement, but don't know much about this segment of the Panerai product line. Any specific suggestions or wrist shots to tempt me one way or another? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

What is your price range if you don't mind??? And what you have in your collection currently?

If you really want in-house....448/449/425.
If you want the best one (IMHO) 232. Not in-house. Pseudo in-house and a close second to the 232....190. Showing off the brown dial ![]() Just awesome. ![]() And 2nd place goes to. ![]() ![]()

Wide open with that budget.
![]() Personally, I wouldn't stress much about in-house, so, my rad/rad 1940 descending order in that range: 232-249-292-190-425-424-512. ![]() |

For that budget, there are a lot of options…. 190, 449, 512

190 gets my vote. Haven't had a 232 on though, so I may be biased on that front. Mik can get you the particulars though...

Tried on a 425 today, a bit to big for me but super sexy watch and p.3000 3 day manual movement. Plus way under your budget, not sure if u want 47mm though-it is beefy.

190. But I am biased. It's my only PAM after going through multiple models.

Why not go straight to my favourite and for under 10K.
The now discontinued RG 231.

Totally agree with Mik...232 or 190. Good luck in the hunt.

the 210 (discontiuned) is a good one, I prefer the 388 though since its auto and thick for a rad.

PAM 504 or 505 are interesting models, if you want something a bit unusual (composite). Went to the AD to buy a Radiomir 1940 but ended up getting a 504. 504 is a manual 47 mm, while 505 is an auto 45mm

232 and 190 are the awesomest choice. 210 if 47 is a tad too big

I am obviously out of touch with Panerai prices.
I paid under that for mine but am not unhappy to hear that. ![]()

With that given budget, 190 or 232. For a different look, maybe 448 449?
Good luck! |

You're going to have to buy a whole new set of straps, because the Luminor straps aren't wide enough. Oh, darn
![]() Strap-changing is a little trickier on the Rad, with the teensy screws and the two-piece lugs. It will take a little practice.

Favorite model...
I don't own this one, yet, but it is my favorite model...(Radiomir Panerai Alarm 98)
It has an alarm, date and GMT wheel. In my opinion it is the perfect Panerai..., plus it fits a skinny wrist....
