Concerned? PAM 00682

After four months of obsessive watch shopping, I dwindled down my choices between the Rolex 16570 or the PAM 00682. This past weekend, I made a trip to the Panerai boutique and Tourneau in NYC to try on each. To my surprise, I was extremely UNDERWHELMED when trying on the 16570. IMHO that watch felt like a ~$2,500 watch, not the $5,000+ watch that is currently the retail value. However, I could not believe how OVERWHELMED the 682 made me feel. The fit, finish and comfort of that watch is unlike anything I've ever worn. The sales lady could obviously tell I was like a giddy school boy with how excited I became it was pathetic.

I found a PAM 682 for what I believe is a fair price online with an exhibition caseback (something I'm fond of). However, this watch DOES NOT include box and papers?!?! It's from 2018! Who tosses the box, papers and warranty card for a modern luxury timepiece these days!!? The seller, who has an overall positive repute, claims they purchased from long-time well regarded customer who just threw away the box and does not question any foul play with history.

I'm still skeptical. Any thoughts?
