For sale is a NEW & COMPLETELY UNWORN example of this legendary and highly sought after Omega Speedmaster X-33. This is a super-rare and very exciting find, I doubt you will ever come across another brand new one of these!
The original owner of this watch purchased it back in 1998 (when this model was released) and since then it has just been sat in a safe. Although the owner guaranteed me this watch was brand new, I always do my own thorough checks to confirm this. As an experienced collector I can 100% confirm this by the following observations made using a 10X loupe: - There are no dings or gouges on the sides of the bracelet, case or bezel. - There are no swirl marks on the outer anti-reflective crystal layer. - There are no rubbing marks or build up of grime between bracelet links. - There are no pressure marks where the butterfly clasp closes. - All the buttons and crown are stiff/firm from being unused. - There is no fading/discolouration of the bezel numerals paint. - The electroluminescent backlight is SUPER bright (these gradually fade over years of use). I must point out though that no watch, even after handling just once or twice will remain absolutely MINT when viewed under a loupe. This watch does have some very faint “handling” marks. These can be removed at your request. However, most collectors/enthusiasts prefer a watch such as this to remain 100% original. The most noticeable is where the watch case back has been resting on the bracelet over the years and probably moved around. Titanium does mark more easily than steel. Again, these are insignificant and can easily be removed on request. If you’re reading this you most likely know what you are looking at, but if you want to know more you’ll find lots of reviews, articles and stories on Google and YouTube about actual NASA crew and pilots that wore/wear this watch. The watch even has a fan club and forums full of faithful enthusiasts. The sale is for the WATCH ONLY as the original owner lost the box and manual in a house move. However, I'm including a generic box and printed manual (as pictured). The watch is of course 100% genuine Omega all round and operates perfectly in every way. Fits up to a 7.25" wrist (extra links can be sourced on Ebay). It’s just had a fresh battery fitted too. I’ve priced this watch very attractively indeed for what is essentially a NEW & UNWORN Omega X-33 watch, a true legend that will never be produced again! I've seen several other dealers asking up to and over £2000 for worn examples. Please feel free to ask for further pictures and/or information. Buyers outside the EU are responsible for any possible custom/import duties. Yours for just £1595 or equivalent Euros. Thanks for reading. -------------------------------- |
