1680 Red Sub

Some more shots of my 1680 Red, recently serviced by Rolex UK, new bracelet fitted (the existing wasn't original and was rather trashed). Dial is a little marked but all original, overall it scrubbed up well !!

Hope i get the approval

WooHoo!! Nice matching dial and hands! They did a great job. Lugs look sweet. I'm guessing 72-73ish?

Great refurbishing job!

Was the luminous dot on the bezel exchanged?

Thanks for the kind words guys

And well spotted Bo - complete new bezel insert fitted by Rolex UK at the service - the original was split at the pearl and was hanging off the watch! Used and abused, but it's in a nice safe home now LOL.

BTW it was the nice patina that attracted me to it, LOVE IT !!

That is one beautiful watch........I am torn on either getting the Sub 1680 or an Explorer II Orange Hand 1655....... any ideas or suggestions?. I can always get both and have my kids pay off my debts when I'm dead........ but seriously, any advice anyone can give me?.

Astonishing piece you have there...jut one thing, is it not "dangerous" to have the tritium in the hands like that, as it seems they could fell off at any moment..?

Cheers

Plexiglass - Red Sub heaven! What a great example. I don't need to say "Enjoy" because I know you will.
