Rolex 18038 model number correct?
I picked this up a few months ago from a local watch dealer and just decided to pop the band off and check out the numbers. I know the bezel is aftermarket but I was under the impression that it should say "original Rolex design" above the model number but I could be wrong. Sorry for the bad pictures. Thank for any help that can be given.

crowncollection will b along shortly. I could b wrong, but remember there was a short period during the 80's where the orig. design was not stamped. Based on the pics, it looks authentic but probably better pics r needed to b conclusive.
I blame it on the autoconnect. |

There was a couple years where that was standard. It was a patented issue (expiration) I think. You're serial falls in that period so I believe you are A-oK.

This is normal for your 18038. Looks fine to me. For an aftermarket, the bezel looks pretty well done as well.

Thank you for all the help, the dealer I got it from is pretty reputable but I just had to be sure. As much as everyone on here is against diamonds on their watch it just looked to nice on this for me to pass up. Here's a nice wrist shot.
