My First Rolex - 1989 Sub

Pity about the replacement hands and cracked bezel but overall happy with it and still looks great. Comfy to wear too.

That insert would look perfect on my 1680!

Just keep an eye out for some vintage hands. They come along every so often.

Nice piece!

Thanks guys. You know, up until few months ago, I used to view Rolex watches as too vulgar and hated them all even the Submariner. Strange how I changed☺

Got one just like it!

Just purchased an A series, looks to be 1989/1990. Same as yours with respect to the new hands contrasting with the aged patina of the dial and markers. The seller claimed that as the reason for the attractive price; too many buyers found the contrast off putting. Not me!

You could have the hands colour matched to the dial, by a very competent shop.

Anyone please advise what bezel font is used on a 1989 5513. Is this fat font?
