It's back

Almost like an incoming but not, I sent my 5905P in for a warranty repair on July 13th and received it back today, just under three months, the watch being a new reference had to go to Geneva for the repair. My contact at Patek told me to expect it the beginning of November but was able to push it through a little sooner, so I'm happy with the turn around time. Another forum member had an issue with a new watch recently and got it back in a month so hopefully service and repair times are getting better. Here's a picture, I still like the watch as much as when I bought it.

Glad you have it back Martin.

Sorry it had to go in for service so soon after purchase.

Don't want to say anything, but is that some dust underneath?

Enjoy that beauty

Beautiful shot Martin! You really have two kickass pieces from the current Patek Catalog. Killer combo with the 5170R and 5905P. Glad to see you have been so loyal to the brand even though you have had to deal with some unfortunate issues with some of your pieces

Glad to hear you received it back and all is well. Did they extended the warranty period on the watch?

re congrats :)

that is excellent news to hear repair times have improved, i sent mine out for a simple cosmetic warranty issue about a year ago and it took more than 6 months.

I wonder how much of the 'quicker' turn was due to this connection vs someone sending in with no one to 'push it through a little sooner'.

As people send in their PP's, please post return times, better way to really gauge if things are 'getting better'.

Martin glad you have that one back though as it's a VERY photogenic PP.

Thanks everybody for the welcome home. About having a contact at Patek to help with getting it done sooner, my contact was the customer service manager and my AD was the one that put me in touch with him. I think it did help, I checked on the watch about three times while it was gone, always got a reply back the same day, Patek was very apologetic about the problem and I wasn't 100% sure about what caused it, was it my fault or did something just break? Having purchased new from an AD that does a lot of business with Patek probably helped also, if it was someone else's name on the certificate and I bought preowned I might still be waiting for the return.
