older models similar to PAM688?
I am in the market for a blue dial watch. Have been looking at omega, IWC but the new 688 has also caught my eye. I am not that keen though on the band, prefer a black band. I know I can replace the band but are there older models that would fit this bill?

70 or 282 or, if the GMT function is important, 228.
But, as for the 688's blue strap, don't let a strap stop you. While discounts can sometimes be hard to come by at a boutique or AD, a free strap or two is not. Personally, when it comes to the blue dials, I think OP has improved them with the recent releases: the ecru lume and gold hands look great with the sunburst blue. |

There are actually 4 different Blue Dial Panerai in that series you can consider.
Take a look, but don't let a strap stop you.
