Interesting Gift

So my father is floating around Paris a few months ago and decided to look for a neat "stocking stuffer" if you will. He went to the Montblanc boutique and tried to convince the sales lady to sell him one of the display trays. She declined. Having little funds (his wife's grandmother paid to the trip) he can't buy me a new Montblanc so he goes down the road to a trinket shop. While there he relates the Montblanc experience to the proprietor. She says "I have just the thing" and comes out with this. It's supposed to be early 19th century but I'm not so sure it's that old but it is kinda neat non the less. Case is sterling and supposedly what's let of the original pencil.
