I love the clean 5711 dial but I believe that it would be even more beautiful and balanced without the date window.

My understanding is that Patek no longer produces bespoke versions but perhaps if enough were interested...

The question is would you be?

I'd vastly prefer it without the window and that white date wheel. It makes sense with the white-dialled version (which I'm not too fond of), but not with the gorgeous blue dial, IMO.

I'd prefer one without the date, but not enough to get rid of my current 5711. Now if they came out with a manual wind version as Gus suggested, I'd be all over it

There has not, but consider the Sub Date. It broke from historical tradition and now outsells the Sub by a wide margin.

dates are ugly, that hole in the dials messes up the dial

I'm a fan of the way it is. No manual movement for me. To me it represents the perfect daily watch - clean classic understated.

Prefer the date window and automatic for daily use. They could throw a micro rotor in like on the 5712 for good measure :)

I love the look of no-date watches. Less time of "screwing" the crown to change dates. Less chance of screwing the watch.
