Would you wear a Platinum DD II as your daily wear watch?

I know is one of the most expensive Rolexes out there, but even if it is that expensive, it still looks less flashy than a Gold DD. Would you wear it all day long as your daily watch 365 days of the year? I think dressing style will not be a problem, and I am talking about a regular Platinum DD II with no dimonds.

No, I wouldn't. And even if I could afford one, I would rather have a few SS Rollies up my wrist!!

Of course. Why not? I wear my Platinum DD *every* day.

Even without diamonds it is a very classy, professional watch

Depends on what type of daily dress I had.
If you are in a suit and tie or don't get your
hands dirty sure.....

Someday I hope to BUT I doubt I could really have
any watch as my 365 day a year watch.

My only hangup with the plat. dd is that you can only
get it with diamonds or the smooth bezel... For some reason
I have always pictured the the DD with the fluted bezel so
I may have to go WG when I can afford one..

I think exactly as you do. I would love to see the Platinum DD with fluted bezel. Add meteorite dial and roman numbers. That would be my grail Rolex.

Yes, without a doubt...if I spent that kind of money on a watch, I would enjoy the heck out of it!

I am all for the white gold or platinum for everyday wear
and the yellow gold for more formal occassions.

I don't understand the concept that gold, white, yellow, or pink, and platinum are for dress only. Why would you not wear it everyday if it was the only watch you owned?

As for the DD II>>>>>I think if you don't wear a suit it would be ok....BUT i heard it is hard to wear with a dress shirt as it is way to thick

It's a lot more durable than Gold. Wearing Gold as a daily wearer is asking for scratches!

Of course, I don't know how many of us do more than sit behind a desk and play Solitaire and answer the odd phone call...

ABSOLUTELY!!! I would, without a doubt.. Most people don't even know the difference between stainless steel and platinum anyway.

Sure, why not. For that kind of coin, I would not let it collect dust just for special occasions.

I wear my YG DD several days a week including on weekends with jeans and a polo.
