Date and size for mens Aquanought

Guys
Maybe you could help

Am looking to purchase a Patek Aquanought but, would prefer a smaller version than the current 40mm size

Am assuming like most watches these may have been smaller in the past

Does anyone know approx dates versus sizes so i can focus in on a pre owned purchase? , also any sage advice about anything particularevto be aware of gratefully recieved

Thanks in advance

Steve

Don't spell it like that. And the current tropical strap I much prefer to the previous version so think hard about that, so 5065.

agreed. Just find a current collection ladies aquanaut if you want to see what the older straps looked like as those are not hard to find. Much prefer the new strap.

The gap between the strap and case really makes the watch look much more square as well.

In complete agreement with Tyler. The older Aquas straps are not flattering IMO. What is your wrist size? I would try and make the 40mm work

it doesnt look small there. But, yes the thinness takes away a bit of the wrist presence.

It’s on the smaller side of what I like but no doesn’t look overly small.

I just find it does wear small compared to some other watches of similair size which I think is worth noting if the OP hasn’t tried one on yet.

agreed. 40mm stated size scares some people away who like smaller, but it does wear smaller than a 40mm rolex with a ceramic bezel.

Great response - thanks everyone

Am currently wearing a ceramic Sub just a year old , and its well big enough so good to know the PP would wear smaller.

If the ceramic sub wears well the 5167a will be perfect!
