NEW Day Date Everose...Screwdriver Good to Go???
Hello everyone...I may or may not have a brand new Everose Day Date 36 arriving mid-week, so stay tuned for updates and pictures!
![]() I own a bunch of other Rolex watches and I am very comfortable adjusting bracelets, adding/removing links, etc. I currently own the hollow ground 2100 screwdriver from Esslinger (pictured) that has a reversible bit that perfectly fits the screw heads of both the Oyster and Jubilee bracelets. My question is...are the screw heads on the President bracelet the same as the ones found on the Oyster bracelet? Am I good to go with my current tool or will I need a different size driver? Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]()

Certainly there is ONE Day Date owner on this forum that knows the answer to this question? Is the size of the screw heads on the President bracelet the same as either those found on the Oyster or Jubilee bracelets? The new DD is arriving on Wednesday and I gotta be prepared!

I know there are two sizes for Rolex Oyster and Jubilee bracelets. It's 1.6mm for the Oyster and 1.4mm for the Jubilee.
I would recommend heating the links to be removed with a hair dryer or soak in hot water to loosen the factory loctite on the screw threads. |

Nice choice! I’ve used that same screwdriver on my Everose DD40 as well — works perfectly for sizing without leaving any marks. Just make sure you’ve got a steady hand and a clean surface to work on. Congrats on the pickup!

It sounds like I am all set! Just one more missing puzzle piece can anyone confirm that the DD40 and the DD36 use the same size screw heads on the bracelet? Thanks!

I just wanted to post one final comment to this thread with the definitive answer to my original question. The tool that I posted in the original post IS the correct screwdriver for the DD36 bracelet; however, you must flip the bit to the JUBILEE side, NOT the Oyster side. Works perfectly!!!

Any issues with loosening the loctite?

The interesting thing about the Day Date vs every other Rolex bracelet I have adjusted is that the screw threads are on the same side as the head of the screw, rather than on the opposite side.
The trick I always use to break the factory loctite is to use a small jet flame torch (like a wind proof lighter). For a very short duration...like 1.5 to 2 seconds. As long as you have the perfect size screwdriver, the screw will come out like butter. ![]()
