Talk to me about straps and sizing

I'm wanting to get hold of a JV strap for the 233 when it arrives, so firstly is the 233 a 24/22, if so where's the best place to order a JV strap for it?

Also does anyone have pictures of the different variants of JV straps, such as colour?

Seems like the JV is rather tough to get. Wait list at boutiques...

As said, the lug width is 24mm. Straps can be made in 24/24 which means the strap is 24mm the whole way or 24/22 which is tapered to 22mm at the buckle. I have dozens of straps and a handful of buckles of each size.

I like the JV strap a lot but I prefer to buy straps made from vintage leather. Lots of good suppliers with good prices and a huge variety of colors to choose from.

Well, I'd just get on a boutique list if you really want the JV. OEM is the bomb. You know HKTAN makes a good one too. For me, the historic straps still look better on it. Looking at Martin's pics, makes me want one REAAAAAAAL bad. Too little money... *sigh*

I'm more of a modern guy, my favourite strap is the honey croc with white stitching, although i feel that the 233 might not suit that best, maybe something darker.

It's got me thinking, i might go for a dark brown croc strap instead

ryan

one of the Dutch Panerisi's got a 233 on a dark chocolate Simona with a copper stich its absolutely stunning, the croc straps from Simona are fantastic and awaiting mine to come in.

also try ABP paris, they can make anything you like including making a nubuck strap as the JV but in your prev colour..

congrats on the 233 by the way

Kind of a noob here, but the JV, Jules Verne right? It's only available through AD's? If so how much is it? Also, anyone have any pics of it on the 233?
