Lookin’ good!
Does the rubber touch (or come close to touching) the case between the lugs? |

I don’t think the rubber will leave any marks, but I’m less sure about any dirt that gets between the rubber and steel. So, any comments, long-term, are appreciated. :-) |

can you clarify what type of design difference there is for "new" oem rubber straps from Pam? Presume you're talking about the conventional ones that spell out "OFFICINE PANERAI" sideways, rather than the accordion style ones seen on the submersibles.
I know in the mid 2000s, the oem rubber's catcher was actually "stitched" - whereas now they're one-piece catchers, which I presume to be more durable. (the stitched one i had came apart many moons ago) further, it seems that some were made in Italy, some were made in Austria. Any other differences along the history of the oem rubber? |

I think that is meant to stabilize the heavy case and keep it sturdy on your wrist. How does it wear?

The new straps are much more flexible than the old ones. Here are some pics of the blue and orange ones I’ve added since getting my 1389, and a pic of the oem one that came on the watch. ![]() ![]()
