Any reasons people prefer 5711 "Blue" than 5711 "White"

the market price and the scarcity prove that many people prefer the blue 5711 than white one

any specific reasons for that?

For me the white idoes not have the depth of the dial. When u look at the blue the blue changes hues thoughout the dial.

The white is this off white silvery dial kind of flat relative. Plus the black keys...personally I think has too much of a contrast vs being complementary.

If u have a choice go for blue. If u don’t have a choice go for whatever they give u

Steel and blue go unbelievably well together.

White piano is very nice too but blue is the king. I've owned both, loved both but kept blue.

There are a lot less whites out there though.

The R brown is the stuff of legends too :)

Me too, I like the white more. The blue is closer to the original, that is the reason it is more popular. We are living in the "homage to the original" era

I would have gladly bought either one, in my case the white was available

This. The gradient on the blue is beautiful as f.

At first, people frowned when the white model was launched in 2012 simply because the purists can’t cope with anything that touches a classic. Let’s be factual, though. The white model (aka piano dial) has a stunning dial which changes color beautifully under different lights, the date wheel on the same color as the dial, sporty yet elegant black hour marks. What’s not to love? I absolutely adore the White 5711.

I keep rotating the watch but it just looks white... I must be color blind... the Porceline off white from the 5320G mimics more of its surroundings.

The blue on the 5711 is just mesmerizing. The clutter of the complicated variants get in the way that is why the simpler three hand gets more premium.

Too bad some people who prefers the blue take an offensive and ironic approach to the white. IMHO the watch hobby is about praising the models you like, rather than throwing stones on the ones you don’t.

To me, the white is spectacular. The color dynamics and different hues of ivory are just marvelous. Plenty of cool pictures to be seen. Check out these on IG...

I don’t take offense. I just spew non-sense cause I’m in between sets at the gym.

The white looks better for me. Blue is also more common. Waiting to pick up one white dial at my AD.

Blue for sure. White looks a little cartoony and cheap (in pics) kind of like the same effect I feel in the Rolex ExpII polar IMO.

There is no finer position to be in than having to decide which color dial you want on your new Nautilus 5711a. And you know what, you can't go wrong.
The blue is the classic; elegant, understated, color changing. The white; sporty, high definition, incredible legibility.
Whichever one you wear will attract attention and envy. You can spend a lot more on a watch than it will cost to buy a 5711a but no other watch gets people going like the 3 hand Nautilus. In either color.

Great pics Martinr

I have both and wear the white dial much more often. If I HAD to sell one I think I would sell the blue dial. Taking into consideration the rest of my collection.

I wish the 5711 blue had the same blue as the 5740.

The current 5711 blue just doesn't appeal to me. I find the white more appealing especially with the "outlined" baton markers and hands.

Have both, love both and wear the white dial with white shirts and the blue dial with blue shirts. If forced to pick one, would go blue. For me it is the better match with steel and I also like the stronger contrast.

Best nautilus combo is 5712 blue and 5711 white.
