Just Spoke With RSC Beverly Hills

After 8-1/2 years of wearing my 16610 pretty much 95% of the time, I figured it's time to send it off to be serviced. I was going to wait until it was 10 yrs old, but it has quite a few character marks (scratches ) on it.

Plus I wear it quite a bit in the pool in the summer time and almost always in the shower so it wouldn't hurt to have the gaskets changed and pressure tested also.

I live in NY state so why would I send it all the way across the country when there's a service center here? Simple. I've asked around and I was told that RSC BH did the best work, with Dallas a close second.

I figured I'd make the phone call to get shipping instructions from them and box it up and send it out today. Get this, the girl on the phone asked for my address and told me they would send me out a mailing kit. It includes the box, tape and all of the instructions. Pretty cool. I should have it in 2-3 business days, then I'll send it off.

I have to add that the lady on the phone was very polite and helpful.

So when all is said and done, I'm looking forward to having my watch ready for another 8-10 years

You did the right thing !

After 8 years your watch needs to be refreshed

Post some before and after photos when you receive it after the service

I bet she's hot too, Beverly Hills, Rolex RSC, I'm just sayin...

Anyway good info, when its time for service I'll have to consider the same decision. Living in MA its hard to fathom shipping it accross the country but I don't like what I hear about the NYC RSC

I've heard that the NYC RSC was the worst when it comes to servicing your Rolex.

Conversely, Dallas has been given an A+ report many times.

If mine needs servicing, it's going to the Holy Land! TEXAS!

Platinum is generally only serviced in Geneva. So my watch has been there a couple of times and received some good Swiss loving.

Wow, your sub has already had quite a life after 8.5 years Paulie! I have used the Dallas RSC and highly recommend them. I'm sure the BHSC will be fine. Wish I'd known there was a mailing kit though!

Not a snowball's chance in hell. If it was something that wasn't of any importance, then maybe

Paul,
The fact RSC of BH would send YOU a packing kit speaks volumes. Sounds like you made the right choice. We'd love to see some before and after pics if you can.

I'll try my best to get some before pics but I don't have a light box so I'm not sure howwell I can capture the scratches in it.

Also if you guys like, I can keep everyone updated on the progress. I can take a picture of the mailing kit, let you know when it arrives ...etc

Is them giving you a shipping kit new?
I have used Dallas (GREAT results) and
never heard of them sending you a shipping
box before (never heard of it with any RSC
but what do I know)

Jeremy,
I've never heard of that either. However, I have heard sad stories of shipments being returned from RSC because of the type of packaging. So this preemptive support from BH RSC is a welcome discovery.

I'll do my best to get some before pics Joe. My camera skills aren't the best

The after shouldn't be too hard, I wouldn't think

Yep! And another 8-10 after that, and then another... Well, you get the picture, my friend!

You'll love it even more when it returns home, Paul!
