I wore one for 14 months as a daily. I let it go recently for a number of reasons. When it appeared dark blue, it was awesome. When it was more vibrant (depending on lighting) it was less attractive.

I'm just glad that Rolex didn't screw me on the 116619LB like some other recent SS models.

Oh man for me that neon matte blue in the sun is what makes it so special!

Kind of crazy they went with a black dial for its replacement, I don't get it.

I agree, this shocked me the most so far. I'm thinking it's an epic fail

Wow that’s a mistake. Not loving the shark look on the WG model.

Glad I have the original release in my collection, its not going anywhere any time soon.

Not a fan of the black dial. Many will be and just as many will not. It was not a big seller anyway due to entry costs.

For sure, I thought they’d keep the Smurf and make the Black Dial/Blue insert in Platinum... I don’t get it.

Agree that the new WG is a fail. Smurf prices will likely increase. Glad I have one and won’t be selling any time soon. But, this is what Rolex does. And, despite what we think/like/opine they are pretty good at this watch game. A least a little better than the rest of us. I like that they keep thinks interesting and changing. We keeep chasing. Agonize at the ones we let go and should have kept; celebrate when we see an opportunity or recognize a shift. Good times to enjoy watches.

Seems like Smurfs were fairly rare and made in low numbers. I think Smurf will push toward a $50k watch. Three watches to own for a lot of collectors will be Nautilus, Royal Oak and Smurf.

I like the black/blue but they should’ve kept the all blue option. It’s nuts they didn’t.

I probably would have bought one just as I'm contemplating the 126618LB to complement my 116618LB.

I'm so sad. This was my grail and now it will be even harder to obtain. I guess I'll just have to get the yg sub some day.

Have to agree.....the smurf is one of the greatest. It had a long run and I'm sort of glad not to see a SS version. WG has always been stealth for most....so seeing a blue bezel only sub sort of makes sense to me.
