Panerai newbie questions re: Pam82

Folks,

I need some help regarding a PAM 82 (Vespucci) I bought in Italy (#62 of 300) nine years ago - it is a genuine Panerai. Some of you folks are obviously quite knowledgable regarding this watch manufacturer so I thought that I would post this message and pray for help. The questions are:

1. Does anyone know what the ORIGINAL VALUE of this watch was back in 2000?

2. I have found great value fluctuations regarding this watch (between 8k and 18k)! What do you believe is a fair market value of this watch, preowned and in excellent condition?

3. What other major factors, beside condition of the watch, are a factor in the value? Does the watch's manufacture number (e.g. 62 of 300) have any significant bearing?

4. I'm also looking for the original case and documentation for this watch (which is somewhere in my garage). Does having the original case and documentation enhance the value of this watch? If I were unable to find the original case/documentation, what affect would it have on the value of the watch (either in dollars or a percentage of the optimum value)?

I thank you for any help you can provide me. I am grateful!

Best regards,

Al

Ill try to give some help here,

1, I cant tell you what the original price was once it came out in 2000.

2, again a very hard question as it’s a buyers market currently and as for all collectable items it is what people want to give for it, 8K for an SE might be on the low side however 18K seems very high to me, IMHO I think reasonable would be around 10/12K due to the reason that its an SE limited to 300

3, you state one yourself the boxes and papers are a major factor in the 2nd hand market, as this is a SE , it originally came with the pear wood presentation case and scroll smth that will deff decrease the price when not avail. The Pam’s come in triple boxes. Also any service papers from Panerai will help, and of course the state off the watch and the original OEM straps etc. These are all items. Sometimes the prod number when very low or very high 001 / 300 are sought after, what might help with the price, but again somebody might be after his birth year etc , this can be very personal , but a low 1st number or a last prod number are the main ones.

4. As above this is quite a major factor in value.

Hope this helps at least a little 
