PAM375 aka Brown Fiddy

Was browsing at an AD looking for an "inspiration" for my next watch and the PAM375 caught my eye. Even though it is a 47mm case it has a low profile and surprisingly wears better than my pretty thick PAM986. Do you think the size looks acceptable on my 6.75" wrist? What can you say about this reference? Is the composite material something to worry about especially its durability compared to stainless steel or titanium? Thanks.

BTW, pardon the plastic wrap, this AD somehow likes to wrap all their watches like this.

Personally love it and at times have thought about adding one as well.

PS looks good!

It looks perfect...I only wish I had bigger wrists so that I can carry 47mm watches. Too bad 44mm is my max...

it's what they call "composite" - which is a surface coated aluminum (so the watch is quite light). not as jet-black as DLC or ceramic, but has a slightly brown tinge to it.

The aesthetics are superb. Just not sure about composite - it can’t be refinished.

I dont think the composite is any more durable than say the titanium casing; you need to ask yourself how you wear your watches and some of your tendencies. Know this - a scratched or even dinged titanium 1315 can be refinished/restored, but you wont be able to do that with the 375's coating. My 375 is not a daily, but it has held up fine over the last couple of years, though I am the wrist-aware kind of watch owner.

It certainly is very light for sure, feels about the same as the 1661 as far as I can tell from all the wrist times....

Looks good on you, we have similar wrist size I think, and I too love the thinner profile. Personally the brown dial paired with the very dark brown case color (which isn't very obvious under certain lighting conditions) was what drew me to my 375. The tinted/smoked display case back glass is also very cool to look at every time it comes off my wrist.

Cru Jones and SWS65SM good point on refinishing. I guess it's just one of those risks to take with this kind of material. I do take good care of my watches. For example, I have a 10+ year old Rolex Sub that I have swam with in oceans, lakes, rivers, pools, etc. and have worn it pretty much in all kinds of casual and formal events and it only has minor scratches on the clasp/bracelet but nothing on the case or bezel.

I love the look, but not the material. I had the 504 which was composite as well. Was told by an AD that they couldn't polish out any scratches.

Composite is said to be “very resistant” to scratches. In your experience is it really more resistant than SS?

I picked up some scratches from who knows where during my months of ownership. I thought I was careful with my watches, but apparently not enough.

I would say that it wasn't more or less resistant than my SS Pams
