Pam753 vs Pam1271

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is well.

I recently picked up a Pam753 (45mm Radiomir) and love the symmetrical and classic look of the watch. It certainly a bold watch given its larger silhouette when compared to my baby sized wrist of about 6 inches

I thought I finally made peace with myself about wearing a bigger watch but having tried on the new 40mm Pam1271, I now think I should trade in my 753 for the 40mm pam.

I know Panerais are meant to wear big and think I can just pull off the 753, but part of me is concerned it still looks like a big clock/dinner plate on my wrist. The Pam1271 does fit better, like my other 40mm watches.

Sigh...first world problems right? hahhaha

What do you guys think? Should I stick with tradition and wear a bigger panerai or wear one that fits my wrist better?

thanks,

R

IMHO, if lugs are wider than your arm, it's too much... Btw, I love the PAM1271, also ordered one.

Personally, I wouldn’t overthink it. Go with the one you prefer. Either are going to wear large on you.

I wonder what the lug-to-lug of the two models are. I would think the wire lugs of the 753 help make it manageable.

Hi, so the 1271 is 48mm and the 753 is 51mm. 48mm lug to lug is usually my max without over hang.

They are both large watches I like the more traditional style on your wrist . Choose what you really enjoy wearing ! Good luck !
