Attractive colors and materials. But with just 100 meter WR, it looks to be a snap on case back? Strange choice given the steep price.

It should be a screw on case back. I agree the price is steep. Never owned a titanium watch but the color of this sand-blasted Ti PAM looks like a cheap alloy to me.

I like the crisp white markers, but I don’t care as much for the titanium material

I love it, the sad thing is they release things and can't get the right pictures to go with the watch. The back shows the quick release strap change system. They did the same with the 1662 and end up putting screws. Website still shows quick strap system a year later.

Did you email them and let them know so they can correct this? Why would it take a year and still not change a pic on their website, as I'm sure Panerai is not trying to deceive anyone. Right?

Well if its the 3D printed Titanium and Carbon it will be expensive and I doubt will be a snap caseback on these materials.
I think it looks amazing leaving aside financial aspect.

It's Ti with a special "sandblasted" finishing. I think that's different from 3D printing, no? As for the case back, generally speaking, the Luminors with 100 WR are snap on, not screwed. I don't know for sure which the 1279 has. As for price, it doesn't surprise me (for a recent Panerai) due to the GMT function + Carbotech insert. |

Anyways a fun fact my Submersible Pam 684 is screwed caseback with sapphire crystal and its just 100m! Wasn't a deal breaker as I don't even swim with it!

Ok the Panerai website is a mess! They have listed the movement as 9010 for this GMT function! I think there is no coordination between IT marketing and H.O
They probably share a common Richemont IT department.

Screenshot of the misinformation.... At this point I won't be surprised at any details given , even the price probably is a typo!

LOL… Panerai can’t seem to decide if it’s a 42 mm or 44 mm! ![]() I sense some day this will be the subject of an internet exposé…sorry, too soon? ![]() |

Saw this one at a boutique two weeks ago. It’s a little stunner.

Movement is probably the 9011. Wish it had a display back with power reserve display like the PAM01033.

Was this 44 or 42 mm? Crazy that the 1662 is 15400 and this is a gmt and it's cheaper

Taking to Toronto boutique. Pam 1279 is limited to 500 and uses a DMLS titanium also. It is a 42 mm.

Yes. It has been a topic discussed before. The new Panerai GMT are more like a “dual time” rather than a true GMT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And did anyone actually find out if it's DMLS like the 1662 or just regular titanium?

It is exactly like the DMLS from 1662. When I get a chance, I’ll take some close up shots of the case and dial. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
