Blank Warranty Card

Hi All,

I am about to embark on purchasing my first PAM tomorrow - it is sold as BNIB with a blank warranty card booklet. How does one get the warranty started? I assume it requires some sort of dealer stamp but I am buying it from a private individual. Any advice very appreciated.

You need a dealers stamp, unfortunately unless you can trace where it originally came from and get that AD to stamp it you might struggle to get warranty work carried out.

A lot of the companies are clamping down on this, as it's the way ADs sometimes sell off stock to grey dealers, it might be worth giving the service centre a ring just to clarify.

You used to be able to get away with it a while back, it was a case of sending the watch in, they'd check the serial number and then see it was still under warranty.

Unfortunately, unless the AD has informed Panerai that it has sold it might be difficult, plus if it's the in-house models then the UK service centre don't touch them, they send them off to get worked on, which removes the walk in option for the service centre.

Yes, you need a stamp from the AD.

Blank Warranty Card

guys beware even those with the dates as well...i have a bad experience, whereby the original owner back dated the warranty and when Panerai SC do a chk with the respective AD VIOLA! it was found warranty back dated over a year!

another point to add,AD stamp is a MUST have.So at least you know which AD/boutique the watch came from...
