Vintage Rolex red box questions

Found this box in my aunts house after she passed as far as I know she nor my uncle ever owned a Rolex so not sure why they had this. My questions are, does anyone know what model/year this is for? And where would be a good place to sell it? And what would be a fair price?
Having some issues posting pics I’ll try to add those when I get home, but if anyone has info on red Rolex boxes marked “14.00.01” I would appreciate it

From my experience, the red boxes were for the older ladies models. Not much value there but check on ebay for comparable sales.

Without a picture it is difficult to give a reliable assessment. We have a red Rolex box, it is about 6" X 5" with an embroidered top and Springer nailed it- it came with a 28mm ladies PM DateJust with a Presidential bracelet from the early 1980s.

The 14.00.01 box has a red top (not the embroidered top) and is for a 26mm ladies stainless steel Datejust from the early 2000s.

Ebay usually has several for sale, like this one with the outer box, documents, etc:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266999137602

Boxes alone usually sell for less than $100.

Her Rolex could be just about anywhere in the house - I know you said you didn't know she had one - don't throw anything away without checking if it was hidden in some innocuous item.

Oh we won’t throw anything out. It’s just weird, I never saw either of them wear a Rolex in all the years I’d been around them
