Does Bond really need to continue being a government agent? Haven't we all seen enough of that? Wouldn't it be refreshing if the character was a veterinarian, or maybe a personal fashion stylist? For cryin' out loud, think outside the box once in a while.

Looking forward to new Bond movies. And thank goodness he wants to stick with traditions. But I still think there’s plenty of opportunity for them to screw it up.

Well that just does it, now I want to see James Bond calmly explain to Mr. Dufresne how Nala’s coat would be much glossier and softer with Omega 3 supplements.

A dead franchise for now. We will see how things develop. Daniel Craig was the Bond for me in modern times, Connery as the original.

Yes, it's a shame it's not fared so well in the last few years.

Totally agree - SC was the best, but DC was a great Bond, for the youngsters.

It's also a shame that the Broccoli family were unable to allow Bond to be streamed, and from what I have read, whilst they wanted the franchise to retain credibility etc., I think in some ways they have actually harmed it. But, now it is under the control of Amazon MGM, so I expect the majority of films will be available to stream soon, much to the delight of my 11 year old (and myself)!

I'll take Roger over Sean for style, personality and charm.

Some hope for 007?

I'm afraid, in the increasingly woke world we are living in, I think there is, no hope.
I hope, possibly in vain, to be proved entirely mistaken.

Based on the novels by Ian Fleming?....not a chance.

Sean Connery is the quintessential Bond. Nobody else comes close.

I don’t have high expectations as far as the new Bond goes. But hopefully they’ll surprise me and prove me wrong.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

What are reviews gonna say if he's not an Government agent? It'll say it's not a true James Bond movie.

I think some of you are missing out on the potential of having the next Bond being a part of the fashion industry. In that world, he'd still be traveling to expensive, exotic locations where he'd find himself surrounded by the world's most beautiful women, but instead of battling rogue terrorists, unfriendly foreign governments, and SPECTRE, he'd be leading the fight against stylistic conformity, banal designs, and unsustainable fibers.

He could be an interior decorator who kills 16 Czechoslovakians.

It would be great to get 2-3 more movies with a Connery type feel, but not counting on that by a long shot.

It has to be reboot of some sort since they killed off the character. Amazon is going to produce to whatever motif sells with Bond, so the market will really determine which way the franchise moves.

Then if this is the case don't be James Bond. I'm thinking inside the box.

I personally think they might go in a slightly different direction from now on.

I reckon we will get movies that are split in two time zones.

Modern day - 007 being played by the lady in the last movide
60's - "James Bond" - a back story - the last movie finished with the line "let me tell you about James Bond"
