Incoming: Armin Strom Gravity Equal Force

Just received my first Armin Strom and first purple dial. Unfortunately pictures cannot do this watch justice. This just seems like so much more watch for the money than paying the gray market for a current stainless steel Daytona. While I still have several Rolex’s I guess I should be thankful they have become so difficult to acquire. My AD lost the line last September and since then I have discovered and bought Parmigiani, Czapek, and now Armin Strom.

That’s wonderful and it’s a great you have a great diversity of brands in the collection. I also have such an eclectic collection and it’s what makes the hobby fun! I recently added a Baltic Prismic and have a MAD 2 arriving soon.

I am also looking at something special from an Italian watchmaker at a price cheaper than nearly anything Rolex makes with hand guilloche dial and own calibre movement- PM me if interested as its not advertised and a special order!

I custom ordered one a few years ago. Love it. My only complaint is the case isn't the most elegant but everything else is great. The brand itself was nice to work with too and seem like genuinely nice people

I think the case work is sensible when paired with their movement architecture. I love their movement/dial aesthetic, but just like the casework, one wouldn't call it elegant either, so the more, for the lack of a better term, industrial look of the cases seems like a good fit for the layout of the exposed movement.

Yea Ive described it as a brutalist breguet, I suppose not the most sensible complaint I have considering that it is the watch's aesthetic.l
